Abe Jacob is the Director, Enterprise Excellence for South East Asia and Korea for Ecolab, a US multi-national headquartered in Minnesota. In this role, he leads a regional team of Black Belts to deploy and execute projects that maximize operational effectiveness and savings based on the region’s strategic needs. Prior to this role, he was Country Director, Singapore and Human Resources Director, South East Asia for Ecolab. In these roles, he provided leadership and strategy for the local operations and shaped the region’s human capital strategies in response to business needs. He has more than 27 years of work experience, having held senior leadership positions in Asia, the Pacific and the United States.
Abe served as a Commanding Officer of an Artillery Battalion for five years in the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, as part of his National Service tenure in the Singapore Armed Forces. He was an Honorary Aide-de-Camp to the President of Singapore for three years and is a recipient of the Formation National Serviceman of the Year award and the Commendation Medal (Military). He also served as an Honorary Commander at Luke Air Force Base in Arizona, USA.
He has a Master of Business Administration from the Thunderbird Graduate School of Global Management. He is the author of “Thunderbird: Taking Flight in Global Leadership”. Abe also holds a Master of Science in Environmental Management from the National University of Singapore.
